Advent Adult Faith Formation Discussions

“It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas,” or, at least that’s the assumption based on that familiar holiday song. But what does that look like at your house? Most of us anticipate the great sales at the mall on the day after Thanksgiving, lights on the outside of our house, and decorations inside of our homes. But how exactly are we preparing our hearts for the greatest gift we’ve ever been given? Through an exploration of the mystery of the Incarnation, the Virgin Birth, and the events surrounding the arrival of Jesus, this Advent study offers an opportunity to experience the joy of the true meaning of Christmas. Come join us this Advent season as we utilize scripture, prayer, videos, and discussion to prepare our lives for the holy day, not just the holiday.

Two sessions will be held each week starting on Nov. 28. A morning discussion group will be held at 8:30 a.m. each Wed. from Nov. 28 through Dec. 19. A second repeat session will be held on Thurs. evenings starting at 7:00 p.m. from Nov. 29 through Dec. 20. For more information, contact Charlie Mescher (at 419-586-5618 or meschercj@bright.net).
